Case Study:
BP North Sea Headquarters
BDG was appointed to develop the designs for the category B fit out for the BP’s new Headquarters at Dyce. This included working closely with BP to develop new work settings to encourage collaboration between staff, allowing them different environments to undertake different tasks at different times.
Prototype areas were developed as part of this process in BP’s existing building prior to relocation to test and trial these with staff.
The office includes special areas where staff can communicate directly with remote North Sea platforms by means of video and real time data links, as well as High Intensity Visual Environments where the drilling of rock formations and complex engineering can be visualised in three dimensions.
