Case Study:
City of Edinburgh Council, Waverley Court
As a part of their framework agreement with City of Edinburgh Council, BDG was responsible for the strategic campus and individual building space planning for the City’s relocation programme, comprising in excess of 3,000 staff. Waverley Court is the new Headquarters for the City, a building developed by Miller Developments. The building provides five floors of open plan space, but of varying areas, necessitating careful allocation of space to provide departments with long term flexibility. Furniture has been set out to maximise space, whilst creating a sense of openness. Filing cabinets have configured to permit these to be used as additional work space.
